Pakistan’s Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique on Monday mentioned lack of assets was the actual reason behind the current tragic practice accident. He added {that a} probe is on and people accountable can be punished.
Daybreak quoted Rafique as saying, “A really terrifying railway accident befell wherein 30 valuable lives have been misplaced. This can be a consequence of our lack of assets.” The minister mentioned although an investigation has been launched, scarcity of assets was the actual concern. “The true [issue] accountable [for it] is that we should not have assets. We’re unable to keep up issues,” Daybreak reported quoting the minister.
The minister mentioned the preliminary inquiry report has arrived however there was distinction of opinion. Rafique asserted that these accountable for the accident can be punished. The minister mentioned that if required funding shouldn’t be made within the railways [sector] in Pakistan, then the already-established system can be completely ruined. He added that future governments ought to take note of railway initiatives as properly.
The Hazara Specific practice travelling from Karachi to Rawalpindi derailed on Sunday in Nawabshah district and a minimum of 31 individuals have been killed within the accident.
