Two policemen received killed as armed males on bikes opened fireplace on police escorting a polio vaccination workforce in Quetta on Tuesday. The gunmen fled from the place.
In response to police, the deceased have been recognized as constables Shaukat Ali and Syed Muhammad. The Daybreak reported that the assault occurred on the very first day of a week-long marketing campaign to manage polio vaccination to 2.6 million youngsters underneath 5 years of age in Balochistan.
Members of the polio workforce didn’t endure any harm, native police chief Asif Marwat mentioned. The polio marketing campaign in Nawa Killi and the encircling areas has been suspended, the publication reported.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo has sought a report on the assault. “The adverse propaganda towards the polio marketing campaign and the malicious intentions of the anti-state parts might be thwarted,” Daybreak quoted Bizenjo saying.
