Smriti Mandhana top-scored with run-a-ball 48 as India registered a comfort five-wicket win towards England within the third and ultimate girls’s T20 Worldwide in Mumbai on Sunday.
England had already sealed the sequence by gaining an unassailable 2-0 lead.
Batting first, captain Heather Knight’s 52 ensured a modest 126 for England. Indian spinners Saika Ishaque and Shreyanka Patil made life troublesome for Knight’s group as they scalped three wickets every.
For India, Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues (29 off 33 balls) added 57 for the second wicket. Mandhana hit 5 fours and two sixes.
