Bombay Inventory Change (BSE) introduced on Wednesday that the expiry day of BSE Bankex derivatives contracts has been shifted from Friday to Monday. The brand new expiry date will come into impact from October 16.
Derivatives contracts enable traders on the BSE to invest on the longer term worth actions of the Bankex index.
In a round, BSE stated, “Based mostly on the suggestions acquired from diversified set of Market Contributors, the Expiry Day of S&P BSE BANKEX derivatives contracts in fairness derivatives phase might be revised to Monday Expiry efficient October 16, 2023.”
Based on media experiences, this has been executed to align the expiry day with worldwide practices.
“New contracts of S&P BSE Bankex with Monday expiry might be generated on October 13, 2023 finish of day and might be out there for buying and selling with impact from October 16, 2023,” the round stated.

From September 6, the weekly expiry of Nifty Financial institution contracts, which is at present on Thursday, might be on Wednesday.
