A 16-year-old Iranian lady is in a coma after she was assaulted on a Tehran subway, reportedly by the morality police for not complying with nationwide guidelines on the hijab. In line with rights teams and activists, the lady was severely assaulted. The incident places the nation on edge because it has taken place a 12 months after mass protests broke out following the demise of a Mahsa Amini, who died whereas in custody of the morality police. The 22-year-old too, had reportedly flouted the strict hijab legislation.
Footage of the incident reveals the lady being carried out of the practice by different ladies. A report by the state-run media stated that the lady fainted after a drop in blood strain, main her to hit the aspect of the practice carriage. The video does not present if the lady was sporting any sort of head protecting.
In an interview with government-run information company Fars, the daddy of the lady says, “We’ve got checked all of the movies and it has been confirmed for us that this incident was an accident. We request folks to wish for our youngster’s restoration.”
Authorities have previously revealed pressured interviews with relations. On the time of Mahsa Amini’s demise in September 2022, authorities had stated that she had a neurological dysfunction that prompted her to break down inside a police station.
